A pioneering cannabis storage and packaging solution

Cannabis, also known as hemp or marijuana, possesses significant medicinal value. The post-harvest storage conditions are critical for maintaining its quality and efficacy. To ensure optimal preservation, environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, air tightness, and protection from light must be strictly controlled.

Humidity Control: The ideal humidity range should be maintained between 55% and 65%. Excessive humidity can lead to mold growth, while insufficient humidity can cause excessive drying of cannabis. Additionally, cannabis readily absorbs odors from the surrounding environment; therefore, packaging materials should have excellent oxygen and moisture barrier properties.

Temperature and Light Control: It is recommended to store cannabis in a low-temperature environment (15-21°C) and avoid direct exposure to light. High temperatures can degrade key components such as cannabinoids and terpenes, while light accelerates the degradation of these active compounds.

Currently, farmers commonly use PA/PE vacuum bags and 100% pure nylon Turkey bags for storing cannabis. Although Turkey bags offer good low-temperature tolerance and oxygen barrier properties, they are not ideal for cannabis storage. After extensive research and experimentation, our team has developed a new composite material using multi-layer copolymerization blown film technology. This material retains the excellent toughness of Turkey bags while significantly enhancing oxygen barrier performance and maintaining an appropriate humidity level within the bag to meet the stringent requirements for cannabis storage. Moreover, we designed the bag with a black exterior to ensure visual transparency while providing effective light protection.

Our experimental results demonstrate that under extremely wet weather conditions,marijuana stored in Turkey bags most likely to become moldly,whereas the one stored in our new material bags is still fresh.
