The world of packaging is undergoing a significant transformation. As we confront the pressing challenges posed by the climate crisis, it has become imperative to reassess the materials used in packaging and evaluate traditional options through the lens of the circular economy. One increasingly adopted approach is the shift to mono-materials. This change offers several advantages: since complex separation processes are unnecessary, mono-material packaging is much easier to recycle and can be transformed into new packaging with greater efficiency. It also represents a promising avenue for advancing the circular economy.

Currently, flexible packaging mono-materials primarily consist of BOPP, PET, PE, PA, and other substrate film plastics. Due to their heat-sealing properties, PP and PE are widely used as base materials in the industry. However, these mono-materials sometimes lack sufficient stiffness, waterproofing, antioxidant, and barrier functions. Traditional composite materials, on the other hand, are often difficult to recycle. To address these issues, our team has employed homogenized coating technology and conducted double-layer composite treatment on mono-materials. This not only enhances the rigidity of the material, making it less prone to punctures, but also allows the packaging to stand firmly like traditional composite bags, ensuring ease of use. After composite treatment, this material effectively prevents moisture, gas, and oxygen from penetrating, helping to keep products fresh and prolong their shelf life while retaining the original fragrance. However, compared to traditional composite bags with similar performance, its price may be slightly higher.

To better address the diverse packaging demands of customers for mono-material solutions, Jointhope has developed and manufactured a range of products including infant breast milk bags children's complementary food bags, spice bags, and innovative fruit and vegetable bags (by leveraging its proprietary barrier technology.
